- It's a really ~insane~ tattoo!! ("altho on some level i have to admire the sheer insanity of a tattoo of an ice cream cone with "BURR" written on the cone & lightning shooting out of it")
- The design is conceptually unique and creative ("the lightning is so weird. it's like he started having the guy do a pokemon and then changed his mind at the last second"; "although lightning blot ice cream cone is p cosmic")
- Anti-mainstream tattoo firmly establishes his street cred ("if theres one thing this establishes, its that he has no interest in becoming a pop sensation at this pt. might blow up but he aint ever goin pop")
- He was f***ed up when it happened ("you know what makes me worry even more is how zonked his eyes look in that pic, like he had no fucking idea what was going on"; "like is there any kinda code for tattoo artists? esp like if someone is clearly fucked up or drunk when they ask for it? i mean i know they aren't like doctors where they take some oath or anything but still...")
- At least it's not 100% permanent ("he should get it removed before he loses all his money - dont want to be a grandpa w/that shit"; "it's gonna fade a lot and look more like the rest of the tats on his face")
- Maybe he did this to generate conversation among music critics ("he was upset about being left out of village voice's top 5 OMG KRAZY RAPPERS")
- Why focus on this tattoo when his life's been so hard?? ;_; ("in the grand scheme im pretty sure hes been thru harrowing enough shit that ridic facial tats are like *shrug* to him but its still way weird"; "like, life-sucking pain is going to actual-prison, again, ppl judging you for a ridic tattoo is sorta small beans in comparison")
- He is actually mentally ill ("i think you could draw a connection from, fucked up life -> alcoholic/drug addict -> crazy person -> face tattoo, but w/e")
- At least tattoos are better than doing drugs ("when u think about it, violating his probation by doing coke is 10000x more harmful to his life than this")
- Tattoo may look better in different lighting, or with a better camera shot ("probably wasnt a good idea to let some random passer by snap those pics, especially when the artist looks like if rob thomas were a dentist. terrible lighting too")
- Ice cream tattoo is a natural extension of his love for body art ("i'm kinda loath to actually pass judgment on gucci here - sure it seems like a cray-cray thing to do but i'm saying that from the perspective of someone who doesn't get tattoos at all, but i know that people into body art are really, really heavily into them, so...")
- At least he's not the only one with a really bad facial tattoo ("it's not that surprising imo, birdman & the game also have awful facial tattoos")

Although there have been disputes over the spelling among fans, Gucci has made it clear through his twitter page that it is okay to spell it either “BRRR” or “BURR.” It really does not matter how you spell it as long as you clearly convey your message and keep promoting the movement.
