domo genesis p-orridge (Whiney G. Weingarten), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:42 (fourteen years ago)

Informer has the better hook, after careful consideration

ex-heroin addict tricycle (Shakey Mo Collier), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:45 (fourteen years ago)

trying to decide which song was more annoying to hear my classmates attempt to recreate on the bus after school

da croupier, Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:46 (fourteen years ago)

ice ice baby is awesome

dj plain ole m@tt (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:48 (fourteen years ago)

Informer is the most annoying. Several dozen times a day, apropos of nothing, classmates would bust out with "Informer! see bubbly-bubbly-bubbly-bubbly hey yeah I lick me bum-bum down! AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! AREN'T I FUNNY!!!". No.

Les centimètres énigmatiques (snoball), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:50 (fourteen years ago)

I've only heard the Jim Carrey parody of Informer

five deadly venoms (San Te), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:52 (fourteen years ago)

Meanwhile people were embarrassed on behalf of Vanilla Ice, and he himself was at least embarrassed about the whole debacle later.

Les centimètres énigmatiques (snoball), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:54 (fourteen years ago)

xp Carrey nails it with the Popeye comparison.

Les centimètres énigmatiques (snoball), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 20:54 (fourteen years ago)

"informer"

^yeah

amphetamine enhanced scholar (Drugs A. Money), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 21:45 (fourteen years ago)

Ice is a dork, but at least he didn't record a song about avoiding getting arrested for a crime, and then IRL get arrested and jailed, resulting in the release of the 'police are never gonna catch me' single being delayed by a year.

Les centimètres énigmatiques (snoball), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 21:46 (fourteen years ago)

They're both really good pop singles, the songs themselves don't deserve the hatred that the persona of the performer invoked. Hard to choose.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 18 January 2011 21:57 (fourteen years ago)

Just looked up the lyrics of Informer. I think I knew about 5 words of this song despite hearing it hundreds of times.

Informer is a better song, and the only one I own the single of, but <3 Ice Ice Baby more, and Informer never gave the world something as wonderful as Ice Ice Bacon:

IIB by several million miles

Blazes Boyband (Pillbox), Tuesday, 18 January 2011 23:50 (fourteen years ago)

it's not Ice Ice Baby's fault, but the song definitely suffers in my capacity because of how many people in my age range like to rap it 'ironically' to show off that they know all the words.

wow, you memorized a rap song with one of the most easy 'flows' in history. CONSIDER ME FUCKING IMPRESSED, go learn gasoline dreams then come back to me

five deadly venoms (San Te), Wednesday, 19 January 2011 00:13 (fourteen years ago)

some country singer also did an "lol look at me" version of it at a city christmas festival last year too.

five deadly venoms (San Te), Wednesday, 19 January 2011 00:13 (fourteen years ago)

I have now heard the real INformer. and I'm hear to say that song should lose any poll, including ones where it is the only option.

five deadly venoms (San Te), Wednesday, 19 January 2011 00:14 (fourteen years ago)

Snow also looks like Brian Austin Green-cum-one of the dudes from the Proclaimers

five deadly venoms (San Te), Wednesday, 19 January 2011 00:18 (fourteen years ago)

"12 Inches of Snow" is one of the best triple puns ever.

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 19 January 2011 01:00 (fourteen years ago)

Voted "Informer" because "Ice Ice Baby" is horrible beyond words.

You're Twistin' My Melody Man! (Geir Hongro), Wednesday, 19 January 2011 05:02 (fourteen years ago)

Good pairing--hard to explain why, but "Achy Breaky Heart" fits too. Like them both, though not as much as people I used to argue with about them. No one should know Snow songs from the late '90s, but I do, and there's one or two I like better than "Informer." Anyway, it's close enough that I'll go the patriotic route and vote Snow.

clemenza, Wednesday, 19 January 2011 05:55 (fourteen years ago)

Snow.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Wednesday, 19 January 2011 06:19 (fourteen years ago)

"12 Inches of Snow" is one of the best triple puns ever.

Actually a quadruple pun, as it can refer to:

* the Canadian weather
* the size of Snow's LP
* the size of Snow's skin pistol
* his recreational habits.

Tuomas, Wednesday, 19 January 2011 06:56 (fourteen years ago)

wow, you memorized a rap song with one of the most easy 'flows' in history.

^^^

"Stop <pause> collaborate and listen. Ice is back with a brand new intention.
Something <pause> grabs a hold of me tightly. Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly"

Mark G, Wednesday, 19 January 2011 12:01 (fourteen years ago)

He says it like that because otherwise it wouldn't rhyme with "Candahrl"

I didn't see this or would have added another vote for Snow. It was the first song I bought from the iTunes store when it launched.
