so, yeah, we can go up to the current day on here. or even the current tomorrow if you post on here in the future. that way we don't exclude coil fans. have at it. i'm only gonna post one album for now, because i have to work for a living. but i'll add more later. germany and japan will have their say! you can add songs or albums. singles. EPs. tapes. whatever you want. but you should REALLY like them. and you should think that they are truly great/interesting/essential in some way. and give info if you have any. or dates if you can. clue us in. maybe cool the youtube action a bit or this thread will become a beast.

bought this in the early 90's and it was a big purchase for me at the time, cuz it was, like, 40 bucks! i hardly ever paid that much for records back then. it was an eye-opener. i was already a huge can fan and psych fan, but this gave me a glimpse of some other alternate musical universe that i definitely wanted more of. it was truly visionary art.

All of Sonny Sharrock's albums are worth getting, except maybe Live In New York (that synth, yeesh). But for purposes of this thread, Black Woman is the true mind expander/skullflower/headbirth, sometimes literally, when Linda Sharrock's healthy young classically trained lungs project Yoko, young Robert Plant and ten watermelons across the Grand Canyon. Then again, she sings "Bialero" so pretty, over Sonny's hummingbird strings. Fiery lyricism of Guitar, who needs accompaniment? All of Last Exit's albums are worth getting, but this seems like the best place to start, as the limber lava even welcomes (yep) Herbie Hancock. No Material includes LE members Sharrock abd Brotzman, but Laswell couldn't make this Swiss gig; we get another bass player (from Das Pferd, I think) and bonus guitarist Nicky Skopelitis. Ergot-encrusted Easter Island heads, hoppin' down the bunny trail.
