DREAM HOUSE

lol but this is kinda the indie equivalent

these 'euphoric', glossy production values all tend towards the same result tbh

posts v much in character

I guess the pop/house sonics are less fuzzy and more precise - but even the fuzzy stuff rarely has the balls to really fuck up the clarity - it's a very measured sort of fuzz

yup. except none of this stuff is pop or house.

"There’s a new type of music sweeping the country. It's called indie..."

yeah, just sayin'...hearing kelis and crystal castles and a few of the other things in the ILM 2010 poll it's clear that a very banal sonic 'joyfulness', all vocal harmonies and synthy sheen, is being sought by the tastemakers - dunno to what extent this fits in but I suspect more than a little

oh not at all.

supply 'n d-man (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 25 January 2011 14:13 (fourteen years ago)

Kelis made a generic David Guetta dance pop record, I am talking about west coast indie with fuzzy guitars.

i.e. they're good fun live and have great harmonies and make lovely dreamy fuzzpop that people are liking atm - I still think a lot of this stuff is the kind of dreamy poppy escapism which dancepop is going about nailing in a different way

New Go! Team single, kind of.

Glenroe in 3D (seandalai), Tuesday, 25 January 2011 14:43 (fourteen years ago)

I like Wild Nothing but maybe they're a bit too shiny? Like they're drawing on a slightly different strand of 80's indie pop. More Smithsy perhaps and a bit less garagey.
