vomiting blood on skateboard vs. knocking drink out of the hand of girl in wheelchair
would more people watch this if Ned posted it or something?
― ex-heroin addict tricycle (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 27 January 2011 23:36 (fourteen years ago)
I watched this when a solid pal sent me a link to it. Those kids are really endearing. And it's a pretty good song.

He recommended the album pretty hard...is their other stuff worth heearing w/out corpse pain preadolescents?

the actors in this are all great. there's something about exasperated faces in slo-mo that will always be funny.
― goole, Thursday, 27 January 2011 23:39 (fourteen years ago)
I liked the smiling blood mouth + yucko-face shorthair lady scene best.

i listened to a few more songs on youtube. it was ok. not nec my thing. they drop some of the metal (still have singing guitar leads) and get a bit more, i dunno, postrock, electronic-y w/indie vocals. i'd be willing to listen to the album once. i never liked rat a tat, but this song does that whole schtick well.

failure to return frisbee = fave moment
corpsepaint is such an obvious comedy gold target, but still, the details here are choice

hahaha my buddy sent me this last night, was like "feel like u'd appresh"
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 27 January 2011 23:51 (fourteen years ago)
I found it incredibly disappointing this song was not about killing Nephi.
― Rocker Brian (Abbbottt), Thursday, 27 January 2011 23:53 (fourteen years ago)
'foreverrrrrrrr' as he throws the frisbee is literally incredible, ditto 'far from heeeeere' when we first see the kids @ the beach, and yeah blood-vomit had me laughing out very loud
nothing but <3 for every aspect of this

fun song, cute video. lj OTM about the two best moments ("far awaaaaay" w corpsepaint kids on the beach, blood vom), but i also liked the kid getting a kiss goodnight at the end. aww. otoh, didn't like the inclusion of the actual band members playing instruments and shit.
far as the song goes, i dunno. it's reminiscent of ratatat, but minus hip hop beats and not quite as lovely as that band's best. sweet pop tune that this really is at heart would be dull w/out the metal costuming, fake metal would be pointless w/o the pop contrast.

ha. also just found out my friend did the album cover typeface.
