have a soft spot for "she believes"

sonderangerbot, Wednesday, 2 February 2011 16:11 (fourteen years ago)

Went for Forklift - the populist vote.

Bernard V. O'Hare (dog latin), Wednesday, 2 February 2011 16:12 (fourteen years ago)

"Box Elder", knew this from the Weddoes' cover.

Mark G, Wednesday, 2 February 2011 16:14 (fourteen years ago)

"Forklift" is probably the best but I will vote "Home" anyway

Ayo Scott (rip van wanko), Wednesday, 2 February 2011 16:16 (fourteen years ago)

WESTING BY POLL

i love you but i have chosen snarkness (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 2 February 2011 16:29 (fourteen years ago)

arrgh forgot to search "Westing"

Ayo Scott (rip van wanko), Wednesday, 2 February 2011 16:30 (fourteen years ago)

Box Elder, not even close

ex-heroin addict tricycle (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 2 February 2011 16:35 (fourteen years ago)

Perfect Depth

It's obvious Weezy is feeling Wang on this, (lpz), Wednesday, 2 February 2011 20:40 (fourteen years ago)

Debris Slide, no contest. Though Box Elder does predict their decline...

dlp9001, Wednesday, 2 February 2011 20:56 (fourteen years ago)

Debris Slide in a walk...

Iago Galdston, Thursday, 3 February 2011 00:47 (fourteen years ago)

woulda gone for debris slide in the past but i think it's perfect depth for me these days

bouquet brigade (electricsound), Thursday, 3 February 2011 00:49 (fourteen years ago)

^ either of these, went for "debris slide", my first (favorite) pavement. "forklift" is neck and neck, really. snubbing "box elder", of course, cuz that's how we do.

normal_fantasy-unicorns (contenderizer), Thursday, 3 February 2011 00:52 (fourteen years ago)

"from now on"?

normal_fantasy-unicorns (contenderizer), Thursday, 3 February 2011 00:52 (fourteen years ago)

"box elder" is prob in my POV pavement traxx

originoo gun kl0pper (k3vin k.), Thursday, 3 February 2011 00:55 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, but it's too good, seems unfair. "box elder" is like the harrison bergeron of pavement.

normal_fantasy-unicorns (contenderizer), Thursday, 3 February 2011 00:57 (fourteen years ago)

I am listening to this album for the first time ever right now. (the westing by musket and sextant compilation album, that is)

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 3 February 2011 01:53 (fourteen years ago)

yikes, i can barely make it through "maybe maybe"

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 3 February 2011 01:55 (fourteen years ago)

ACB/MJD for some reason, probably irrational.

SENTIMENTALIZE WAR - THIS IS YOUR GOD (R Baez), Thursday, 3 February 2011 01:55 (fourteen years ago)

these songs are pretty blah so far.

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 3 February 2011 02:15 (fourteen years ago)

angel carver blues or from now on. watery, domestic is their masterpiece, really.

the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Thursday, 3 February 2011 02:21 (fourteen years ago)

ok i'm done. the three-note riff in "forklift" and the "ba ba ba da ba"'s in "debris slide" are quite catchy, and the two boogie woogie songs offer up a nice change of pace, but I can't for the life of me figure out what separates these three EPs from the hundreds of other no-name indie rock records that had to have been clogging up the college town record stores of the day.

my vote goes to "spizzle trunk"

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 3 February 2011 02:41 (fourteen years ago)

watery, domestic is their masterpiece, really.

normal_fantasy-unicorns (contenderizer), Thursday, 3 February 2011 02:42 (fourteen years ago)

ACB/MJD for some reason, probably irrational.

Quick re-listen and now I know why:

it's awesome.

Keep on the good work! (R Baez), Thursday, 3 February 2011 03:00 (fourteen years ago)

Seems obviously "Debris Slide" but am going to listen to Westing now before voting, it's been years since I heard some of these.

Guayaquil (eephus!), Thursday, 3 February 2011 03:48 (fourteen years ago)

OK, it's still "Debris Slide," but this whole record is better than i remembered it, with "You're Killing Me," "Spizzle Trunk," "Perfect Depth," "Baptist Blacktick" sounding especially good tonight.

Guayaquil (eephus!), Thursday, 3 February 2011 04:45 (fourteen years ago)

i voted Home. That and Box Elder seem the catchiest of the lot, but I like Home more.

i love it when a suggest ban comes together (cajunsunday), Thursday, 3 February 2011 12:03 (fourteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.
