I did; liked it quite a bit. There's a terrific 3CD companion soundtrack, by the way; one track each by dozens of bands.

I loved the Ekeroth's obvious enthusiasm for every obscure demo produced in some equally obscure region. His style/the book are such a contrast to everything I've read/seen about Norwegian Black Metal (which I guess makes sense since black metal is such a reaction to death metal) which always seems so po-faced.
