really finding her album to be very alluring indeed -- mysterious, soothing and at times beautiful. particularly enjoy the opening cut "love is won", but there's something sophisticated and compelling about the whole set.

nice review. i have a lot of similar thoughts, particularly regarding the dichotomy that exists on a number of songs between understated and "showstopper".
"daphne" was the song that drew me to the album as well. was happy to hear that the rest of the album matches its strength.
