Found an old tape with 'Spirit in the Sky' on it (the original, not hte Doctor and the Medics cover, before you ask).

Is that the best fuzztone guitar sound ever recorded, or can someone suggest one even better?

The fuzz guitar in "Keep On Runnin'" by the Spencer Davis Group is more vicious, if you ask me.

Hampson's fuzz guitar that cuts in after the first verse of Loop's "Black Sun" is a dull, jagged razor. The way the other guitars court it, darting from speaker to speaker, running backwards, leslieing, each with its own unique razor quality, makes it feel as if your headspace is being shredded and mowed from the inside. And it feels gooooooooood...

Wow! "No Time" Guess Who, "Book of Saturdays" King Crimson, "Rock & Roll pt 2" Gary Glitter, "Killer Queen" Queen (lotsa Queen, really)...

Bloody hell, I was going to mention "Lazy day" today having played it for the first time in ages this morning and thinking "This is probably one of my fave fuzz guitar parts". Oh well, beaten to the punch.
