Not the dentist, but I got an MRI brain scan 2 years ago, during which they gave me headphones and let me pick a radio station. When they dialed it in, "Harmony in My Head" by the Buzzcocks was playing.

Fortunately, the Buzzcocks were correct.

I actually had Yardbirds' "Summer in the City" through headphones during a root canal once, jackhammers and all.

The Construction of the Duck Character (Eazy), Thursday, 17 March 2011 15:57 (fourteen years ago)

Once in high school I was getting a filling and the dentist asked if I had any CDs I'd want to listen to on headphones. I had The Cure's "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" – take my advice, this is not a good accompaniment for having tiny tooth-fixing machines in your head.

if I hate the headline, I'll make up a headline (Abbbottt), Thursday, 17 March 2011 16:37 (fourteen years ago)

Sheryl Crow's version of "The first Cut is the Deepest" while getting my wisdom teeth taken out. A little ominous, but w/e, laughing gas is the shit!
