^^^^

The next two shifts are out later this month, right? I'm kinda worried that two more full albums is going to be scraping the bottom a bit.

yea, 4 albums in less than 2 years = a lotta material, altho we arguably listen to just as much w/ our Guccie mixtapes.

deej feel free to start trax if you want, make it a sister poll.

honest to god i think e-40 is in peak form on this shit. i mean, its not classic e-40 but it feels like future-classic e-40 ... like hes still pushing outword & saying stuff in interesting ways.

doesnt feel like a career in decline at all, is what i mean

deej, Saturday, 12 March 2011 21:48 (fourteen years ago)

not at all. I listened to In a Major Way yesterday and was surprised how close in quality the new ones and that album are.

oh he is definitely on fire, I just get nervous anytime an artist I like cranks out this much material in such a short time

I'm literally revisiting all the old E-40 albums from my last 40 water kick (ca. 2007) and I can pretty much say that he's never released a bad album (though Breakin News is the only one I haven't heard)

Whiney On The Goon (Whiney G. Weingarten), Saturday, 12 March 2011 21:55 (fourteen years ago)

whiney is literally visiting those e-40 albums in their homes

Like the other albums def laid important ground, but i do think that Ghetto Report Card and Day/Night shifts are seriously his strongest works.

amazon marketplace has a lot of em used pretty cheap so i'll hafta dig in. the only other one i own is In a Major Way.

Besides Day/Night I would say Ghetto Report Card is the strongest album. And Element Of Suprise is just a wonderful outlier because dude the beats are hard as fuck and dude is straight up ANIMATED, like screaming BYYYIIIYYEEEOOOEYEYEYEYEOOOOTCH and doing wild voices. He really goes the absolute hardest as a rapper and personality on that one and it's like 24 tracks

Ballatician/Grit and Grind from '02 is my current favorite

i dunno that i think that highly of report card, its good but theres a def fall off in the back half iirc

i will say that 'ball street journal,' altho it has some classic tracks, lacks vision overall
