the other week someone posted me the 'Baroque Arcade' cassette by this dude and it was really great wonky analogue ambient blah - I bought 'Porcelain Opera' some time previous and it was OK but nowhere near this good - he'd posted me it by mistake though and I had to send it back but yeah if you find this tape check it out, or as it's long gone I think you can be excused for DLing it

Rene Hell is one of the best acts around these days. Love most of his stuff. The new one is so good that it might actually be better than Porcelain Opera. I think it is! Thanks for making this much needed thread

I also like a couple of his Secret Abuse LPs as well. He has a pretty massive catalog so far -- under different monikers, etc

I really can't stop listening to the Terminal Symphony. This guy's compositional sense is astonishing; each piece feels tight and intuitively "right" even when there's little tethering it to types of music where you'd more typically use those terms. It sounds delicious cranked up earsplittingly loud on vinyl... I really need to track down Porcelain Opera as well.

Yeah Type is trademark of quality for sure -- label boss John Twells is also reliably hilarious; worth following on Twitter at @johnxela (Xela being his own project which obviously also records for the label).
