Europe finally seems to be catching up with this stuff, me included - I can't get enough of it! More and more videos get regular rotation on Italian and German channels, but alas, it's still a vast unexplored territory.

Paulina Rubio's "Y Yo Sigo Aqui" so far remains the peak for me, although Noelia's "Candela" and Thalia's "Tu Y Yo" come close. So, someone tell me... what should I download next?

Aterciopelados, "El Album." Anything from their latest record, really.

For the more adventurous: anything by El Gran Silencio, Julieta Venegas, Bersuit Vergabarat, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, or Celso Pina.

And Shakira's okay, I guess, despite my having slagged her newfound softness on Popmatters.com. Why the hell not?

I wouldn't call it pop per se, but Babasonicos' Jessico = still probably the best album I've heard this year give or take a couple of others.
