I went for He Didn't, it's so good it could have been on 69 Love Songs.

most people don't like this one right? but it is great, only a couple of boring indie rawkers. i love 'you you you you you'.

i think this record is pretty weak. very poor use of some great voices. although he made momus not horrible so it gets points for that. going for the momus track.

maybe should have played this again before voting, but all i can remember from this is "as you turn to go" and "the dead only quickly" -- of these two I prefer "as you turn to go," one of the truly saddest in his repertoire -- though really I think I am voting for the version I've heard him play live, not the version w/ momus on this record

i know i'm not supposed to say i'm sorry
i know you've had more loves than mata hari
but you know you're the star of my life story
and i'm so sorry

i heard most of those live solo acoustic versions before i heard this album and was pretty disappointed with how they turned out on record

song-wise "i've got new york" but i'm not crazy about the performance

listened to this again, i seriously maybe should have voted "oahu"

I've listened to this record and Highway Strip the most of all Merritt records
Just cause they were the two I owned in CD age
It works great as a whole, I voted "As You Turn To Go"
