My favorite Beatle's song is "Two of Us," the song that opens Let It Be. Can anyone name any (Country Western?) artists that sound like that?

"Two Of Us" invented Tall Dwarfs almost lock stock and barrel. Seriously check out their "3 Eps" disc. You'll probably love it.

Now, Tall Dwarfs are not C&W, but they certainly do the catchy-two-singers-and-two-guitars-to-a-simple-steady-beat-all-covered-in-glorious-mayhem thing...

There's this 3-cd set coming out on Troubleman Unlimited in November/December...

What about Badfinger? Soundwise, there's an eerie likeness between them & Abbey Road era Paul McCartney.

The Beta band. Well, some of the tracks on "The 3 eps" sound like that to me.

God, I love "two of us". I love singing along, "we're on our way home .... we're going home!"

I couldn't think of any immediate descendants from that song, though Tall Dwarfs is a GREAT point! The Beatles were always just such nice little popsmiths, even at the end. Abandoning all the pomp on recs like 'Let it be' and 'Abbey Road'. I just have to laugh when I see them dissed around here. too funny, and sad.
