Animal Collective - Keep (Mixtape) 2011

Animal Collective’s designs in the Keep range of shoes are almost upon us, which means the free cassette tape that comes with them is also imminent. The tape features four tracks by each band member, and while we wait to hear what those sound like, a preview clip for the venture has been produced by Avey Tare’s sister, Abby Portner (Rings/Drawlings). The mixture of aquatic imagery and Portner’s drawings are set to “Fickle Cycle” from the Grass EP, but we’ll have to wait until March 26 to determine whether that’s an indication of how the tape will sound.

My track rankings: Deakin > Panda Bear > Geologist > Avey Tare

It's pretty interesting to see some solo stuff by Deakin and Geologist and see how each member contributes to AnCo's sound. Kind of wish Deakin released some solo stuff.
