James and Bobby Purify: Classic or Dud?

I've only heard one song, 'Let Love Come Between Us' on the Goldmine compilation 'Let's All Go Back to the Twisted Wheel' or something. I like the song very much. I believe it is a 'floater'. What is the rest of their stuff like? Is it worth investing in the new compilation on Sundazed, which I think is called 'Shake a Tail Feather', or is it full of filler? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I only have their versions of "16 tons" and "Shake a tail feather" but both are definitely classics... Bombastic, frantic and busting with macho emotionality. Great stuff.

Sounds right up my street, Jacob, thanks.

You must get "I'm Your Puppet" immediately. Fantastic song.

I think that's the opening track on the Sundazed compilation. I can't get it immediately though, I'm still letting my dinner go down.

I have an earlier comp of theirs, which is great - I'm Your Puppet and Morning Glory are masterpieces, and the rest of it is consistently excellent.
