This album (maybe a year or two old now) is pretty great.

Feels like Michael Mcdonald should be duetting on this shit. Lovely Hall & Oatesey arrangements on some of it. Other bits more Carole King. Like it all except for the awful Choo Choo song.

it is a little inconsistent in places, but i can see her doing better in the future. potential is there.

That's a strange set of covers for one voice to, erm, cover. I like all of those songs so I'll definitely check it out.

yes the album hits the same spot as many others of recent times, but there is a certain old school ramshackle charm in the instrumentation/vocals that evoke a live in the studio 70s recording that melts my ears.

summary : an unloved album that deserves a lot more attention from radio 2 listeners (statement of fact, not a diss)

the only thing i have ever heard from her is a charity single but i actually really liked it :X
