So we can celebrate the release of their second album. Absolutely loved the debut and just picked up the new one over my lunch break. Wikipedia tells me Whiney likes it. Anyone else?

i didn't know the other dude from this band was in Edsel! I had their "Techniques of Speed Hypnosis" album back in high school and remember it being pretty good but recently I was trying to remember what it sounds like and they don't seem to have any songs on YouTube or Grooveshark

even though I like these guys, the most noteworthy thing I can think to say about them is that their new album features a song called 'Spot The Pikey'

Kinda surprised these guys don't generate more talk around here, considering the band's pedigree. They certainly aren't exploring brave new territory or anything, but I think they are really good at what they do. The guitar work is great.

more like I think its time for Obits to have their own BED, so I can sleep in it, cause they put me to sleep, when I listen to them

The newest one has some highlight, indeed like "Malpractice", but it's probably my least favorite overall so far.

Whoa, I don't remember being so mean to the Obits eight years ago. I regret that.
It's a bummer I found the music in Moody, Standard, and Poor so forgettable, because the punsmanship in that album title is exquisite.
