Wasn't ILM better a week ago?

Doesn't it seem as though ILM was better a week ago? I remember looking at the board and finding lots of interesting threads then. It was better before every third thread was about the Smiths.

New "nothing gold can stay" answers.

I only see four Smiths threads, and three of them are anti-Smiths.

What are your ideas for threads? (Or was this it?)

the revamp is great, but of course this-site-specific thread re-searching tools/links are what we can really look forward to -- i mean i don't want to have to use gooooogle or blackwindows or whatever -- this site works in a unique way the way it's programmed at the moment, and so SQL etc. it's all sitting there on the backend (i presume) and it's just going to getter better (i presume/beg but nz$ isn't worth too much sorry)

repetition of threads is the _main_ _problem_ -- the same subjects all the time (eg smiths, lush etc. 3 times in 3 weeks -- and just "what do you think of this?"(duh, what about S/d, C/d, OPo, jeez this site is so "evolved" already))

the alta-vista plugin, uh i dunno, stick with SQL but what (imho) is needed is a _text_ _string_ _search_ that always works

hey, i love the new UI, like the fact that there aren't any Gs in that acronym, i mean the new site is such a well thought out improvement already, i mean passwords, user preferences, and no crappy graphics beyond html, just _words_

congratulations Tom, M, M etc .. hats off .. really .. good ones ..

(and, uh, if there is a text string search built into this site, _please_ leave the URL for me in this thread, 'cause i'm no goose at this computer stuff)

This was it, for this morning. Just a joke actually, but a played out one, I guess. (It's already been done on "Taking Sides: Nu-ILM v. Old ILM.")

don't worry DeRaymi. I'll be taking sometime off from next week and i'm planning to spend a lot of time on ILX (the report is nearly done). I've got a few threads and I'll be posting at a ned like rate for a couple fo weeks (well, maybe) and making tapes and listening to music too.

Julio, don't you have an Oum Kalthoum tape you are supposed to be listening to?

Really, I don't feel that anyone on this board has an obligation to entertain me, or vice versa.

I think it's deteriorated significantly in the fifteen minutes since it came back to life. And since I started typing this.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 29 August 2002 20:12 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm listening to it tomorrow (if i don't get drunk that is), I am putting the finishing touches to my report.

''Really, I don't feel that anyone on this board has an obligation to entertain me, or vice versa.''

fair enough, I'll entertain myself then...

Why are they mutually exclusive? Maybe the words will make more sense if you are drunk.

DeRayMi, Thursday, 29 August 2002 23:35 (twenty-three years ago)

this thread was so much better ten minutes ago
