Surprised there isn't a thread on these guys (well, not that surprised), but I think they're one of the more overlooked 70s bands. Just tracked down a copy of their very underrated 'comeback' album from '78, Manorisms, and damn if it isn't the missing link between Otis Redding and the Allmans! At the very least, yall dig "Keep On Smilin,'" right? Am I alone here?

Yeah, "Keep On Smilin" is a go-to track that I need to hear once in a while. I have it on one of those Rhino "Have a Nice Day" compilations. Haven't heard anything else by them tbh.

Also, do people still "find a piece of land, gonna change from city boy to country man, try and build a life with your hands?"

"Keep On Smilin" is an absolute classic. A rock station in Atlanta used to play it as part of their Friday 5pm sequence & it was terrific. I bought a single of the song years ago but never looked deeper, probably ought to!

I heard Jimmy Hall speak and do a song or two at a commemorative presentation about Otis, with the Redding family in attendance, so yeah, there's a connection.
"Keep On Smilin'" has been a radio staple in Georgia forever ... I need to hear some more Wet Willie.
