Graham (graham), Thursday, 29 August 2002 10:31 (twenty-three years ago)

He should have done this 9 years ago.

Venga, Thursday, 29 August 2002 10:32 (twenty-three years ago)

apparently he said "woohooo" (rolls eyes)

nathalie (nathalie), Thursday, 29 August 2002 10:34 (twenty-three years ago)

If it didn't involve him dismembering Damon in the most bloody manner imaginable I don't really care... If he did, then yay for Graham. I will pay for defense.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 29 August 2002 10:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Time for that rhythm section to find gainful employ elsewhere...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 29 August 2002 11:31 (twenty-three years ago)

Dave should join Oasis.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 29 August 2002 12:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Good for him (if this is true)
i read Albarn's comments about the other Blur members in an issue of "Q" a few months ago. he stated that the others "know what side their bread in buttered on" etc. i don't know if he was trying to be "oooh Damon, you're awful..." but i get the feeling this Gorillaz thing might have made that melon of his that much bigger -- if that's possible ;)

Derek Dalek (Derek Dalek), Thursday, 29 August 2002 12:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Good for Graham

Leigh, Thursday, 29 August 2002 12:12 (twenty-three years ago)

The downside is that he'll make more solo albums.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 29 August 2002 23:17 (twenty-three years ago)

according to popbitch he's on the booooooze again

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 29 August 2002 23:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Wasn't one of Coxon's aims for his solo albums was for them to be unlistenable? (The fact that the first one had one or two OK songs on it notwithstanding) He's probably jealous that Damon makes unlistenable albums without even trying (Gorillaz).

edward o (edwardo), Friday, 30 August 2002 03:18 (twenty-three years ago)

He has two really nice covers of Mission of Burma songs on the second album, too. So bring the total to 4 songs. 5 if you can count You're So Great.

lyra (lyra), Friday, 30 August 2002 03:29 (twenty-three years ago)

That last single of his, "Thank god for the rain", would be ok if it didn't have such rubbish distorted vocals and that awful, uninspired riffing in the middle of it.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 30 August 2002 03:31 (twenty-three years ago)

this is a great week. First radio 1 tell lamcq to fuck off and now this. Now only if Q and NME went bankrupt...

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 30 August 2002 05:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Julio it's just been announced that he's joined Borbetomagus!

Tom (Groke), Friday, 30 August 2002 06:38 (twenty-three years ago)
