Burnin' For You: IS CD BURNING KILLING MUSIC?

hello,

i, for one, have absolutely NO problem downloading songs from the web. for example, i've been listening to coldplay's lastest release, "a rush of blood to the head", for the past 2 weeks without once waking up in the middle of the night worrying about chris martin's mortgage payments.

it is my contention that as an obsessive music collector i have paid my finanical dues to "the man" and deserve to get a little "somethin' somethin'" for the years spent doling out the readies for cds that are overpriced.

i should also state that i usually go out and purchase the offical releases of my fave bands after listening to a burned copy of the album (i.e. doves "the last broadcast" and elbow's "asleep at the back")

there was a thread I started last week called "the lowdown on downloads" that has some related questions (and a really embarassingly bad analogy on my part) on it, Derek.
