Always sad to see a great band without a thread.

But actually, i'm only really familiar with the third self titled lp. Anything else worth seeking out?

"Wasa Wasa" is a really, really good heavy acidy heavy blues rock album. Sing Brother Sing is pretty cool, too.

I'm working my way though the disc of the Harvest Years box set of the Edgar Broughton Group the past couple days. They are definitely were a unique sounding band for their time. I can't say I have liked all of it, but some of the tracks are just weird and kinda amazing. They definitely was getting into blues like Howlin Wolf a bunch in the vocal style, which is kind of demented and at times makes the music reminiscent of other bluze explorers like Beefheart and I think on the track below even like the Birthday Party. I'm sure more than a few probably saw these dudes while flying sky high and thought "man you are harshing my mellow".
I'm going to be curious to see how much they 'evolved' on their later records, my bet is not a whole lot (but it still could be cool).

Funny, I was just gearing up to dig into In Side Out (1972) and Oora (1973) as RYM put those in the psych prog category, which I've been researching lately. So something must have changed from the early "blues rock and heavy psych" stuff.

I've listened to a lot of 70s rock, but these guys are pretty new to me. I had heard of them but I hadn't heard them until they had their bit in the BBC Metal Britannia documentary.

I want that. I don't see it available anywhere, other than perhaps bits in YouTube.

This is a pretty interesting band. I really liked the box set. They did change as they went on and did a pretty wide array of music. Some of the acoustic tracks are actually quite lovely. I really dug this live copy of the good Captain's Drop Out Boogie.

Harvest definitely put out some cool records in their day.
