I feel that "Heavy Soul" is Weller's best album so far, even though everyone seems to gravitate towards "WildWood", which is also great...just not as great as "Heavy Soul" s'all.

I think Stanley Road was his best selling solo album on the back of several big singles, e.g. "You Do Something" topped some poll of romantic songs on handbag.com beating stuff like "Wonderful Tonight" etc. etc.
BTW if you like Heavy Soul then check out Mother Earth - the band on Acid Jazz records that Matt Deighton played with, especially the live album The Desired Effect and the People Tree. Great stuff.
