Ugg. If things weren't so shaky in my family life back in California, I'd be committed to Bumbershoot wallowing this weekend... but I might have to drive down there at any moment's notice.

But I do want to go on Sunday to see Sonic Youth.

This might be as good a time as any for a Seattle ILX0R meetup type thang.

haha the first time I came across this word was in a Batman comic when I was youngish (i.e. decades ago) where it is explained that 'bumbershoot' is what the British call umbrellas. I think probably most people in Britain won't have a clue what you're talking about if you use the word.
