J0rdan S., Sunday, 8 May 2011 05:05 (fourteen years ago)

anyway i guess "telephone" wins by default?

J0rdan S., Sunday, 8 May 2011 05:06 (fourteen years ago)

poor missy elliott, erased from history even though she has a few 'ft. beyonce' credits

only singles, should've mentioned

don't think telephone's the best track here

more fish for kunta (zachlyon), Sunday, 8 May 2011 08:58 (fourteen years ago)

can only really remember how the beat goes but voting 'i got that' anyway

r|t|c, Sunday, 8 May 2011 11:12 (fourteen years ago)

imo "Put It In A Love Song" is pretty dope, was always disappointed that it didn't get a full-on push as a single. "Until The End Of Time" is a good song but the duet version is pretty pointless.

it's a shame "Telephone" is gonna sweep this thing by virtue of being one of only 2 major hits.

lilsoulbrotherlovesdubplatestyle (some dude), Sunday, 8 May 2011 11:49 (fourteen years ago)

also "Pussycat" was at least as much of a single as half the options here

lilsoulbrotherlovesdubplatestyle (some dude), Sunday, 8 May 2011 11:50 (fourteen years ago)

I like "Put It In A Love Song" too. Don't know what I'd vote for though.

Tim F, Sunday, 8 May 2011 11:50 (fourteen years ago)

'03 Bonnie and Clyde is one of the very few tracks I can tolerate with Beyonce on it these days because it recalls the days of when she didn't have a massive ego.

Timberlake + Gaga + Beyonce = Shit.

Leopard on the Cheetos Bag (MintIce), Sunday, 8 May 2011 12:46 (fourteen years ago)

i doubt B's ego is any bigger now than it was in 2002

lilsoulbrotherlovesdubplatestyle (some dude), Sunday, 8 May 2011 14:10 (fourteen years ago)

i applaud your bold stance xp

a song beyonce wasn't on?

al b. surly! (The Reverend), Sunday, 8 May 2011 22:24 (fourteen years ago)

oh, lol sorry, was conflating it with the other Under Construction song i heard on the radio a few times but never had a video, "Nothing Out There For Me"

'03 Bonnie and Clyde is one of the very few tracks I can tolerate with Beyonce on it these days because it recalls the days of when she didn't have a massive ego.

Destiny's Child's The Writings On the Wall album is a good example of her materialism and ego running amok.

oh, lol sorry, was conflating it with the other Under Construction song i heard on the radio a few times but never had a video, "Nothing Out There For Me"

I was going to find a youtube video of that song because it is probably one of my favorite songs of hers. Missy had a habit of having female r&b singers taking leads on songs she wrote but probably couldn't sing on her albums.

Also, you guys forgot this:

pretty much shruggin @ all these

the buttonmasher, the party crasher, the forget-my-lotion skin rasher (k3vin k.), Monday, 9 May 2011 01:06 (fourteen years ago)

I have a soft spot for Hollywood but the Beyonce solo version only.

lilsoulbrother, Monday, 9 May 2011 01:17 (fourteen years ago)

this brings up a good point, why is B almost always so bad or shrugworthy when she's a guest and so powerhouse when she's solo?

Stone Colde Sylke Freek (forksclovetofu), Monday, 9 May 2011 01:34 (fourteen years ago)

because she has a big ego

lex pretend, Monday, 9 May 2011 01:40 (fourteen years ago)

i never knew about "i got that" but the very idea of an amil ft. beyoncé track is amusing me enough that i might vote blind for it

lex pretend, Monday, 9 May 2011 01:40 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i think it might partly be that she's such a control freak about her own records that she probably only grudgingly appears on other peoples' records when it suits her or she owes a favor or wants to align herself with somebody. and she never really had to work at being a hook singer for hire like a lot of other R&B singers.

raggett doll, livin' in a rovi (some dude), Monday, 9 May 2011 01:41 (fourteen years ago)

that song w/ shakira is the worst

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2011 01:44 (fourteen years ago)

i have a vehement hatred of "Hollywood," stemming partly from the fact that a local radio DJ used to drop it into his mix on a daily basis for like 3 years straight and i was like arghhh it wasn't even that big a hit and it was like the worst song off friggin Kingdom Come, to the point that i ended up calling the guy out for it in print.

raggett doll, livin' in a rovi (some dude), Monday, 9 May 2011 01:44 (fourteen years ago)

her own records are kind of notable for having minimal guest appearances - and, especially in light of her whole "girls run the world!" quasi-feminist shtick, basically no guest appearances from other women (the shakira duet is about as close as you get)

lex pretend, Monday, 9 May 2011 01:48 (fourteen years ago)

i kind of like the idea of beyonce being incapable of collaboration

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2011 01:50 (fourteen years ago)

Actually, I think out of all the current pop stars she is the one most willing to collaborate. Maybe Rihanna her the edge on her on that.

lilsoulbrother, Monday, 9 May 2011 01:53 (fourteen years ago)

*Maybe Rihanna has the edgo on her on collaborations. (Plum wine and sushi should never be combined)

lilsoulbrother, Monday, 9 May 2011 01:53 (fourteen years ago)

i think you mean ALWAYS be combined

Stone Colde Sylke Freek (forksclovetofu), Monday, 9 May 2011 01:55 (fourteen years ago)

plum wine and sushi is a truly great collaboration

lex pretend, Monday, 9 May 2011 01:56 (fourteen years ago)

well, sushi & anything

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2011 01:58 (fourteen years ago)

Shit should be illegal knowing how good it is.
