I thought they were dead.

It's a decent album. Or, it's at least better than the last one.

Are they back for more market punishment?

''Are they back for more market punishment?''

what does that mean...

Are they back for more market punishment?

An inexplicable Tory revival?

stevo (stevo), Sunday, 1 September 2002 05:48 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah Stevo, that's it! it 'makes sense' now...

The last album was great.. (ducks to avoid flak) I reckon they get better and better with each album. Though I don't have particularly high hopes for this one.. where are you hearing it?

I'm not one to spread piracy, but newsgroups on the net are just as reliable publicists for advance albums.

This is the best answer..

Supergrass are still their generation's finest guitar pop band by a considerable margin and I would be very surprised if their next album wasn't brilliant as per usual.

But!

I would be SHOCKED if it surpassed I Should Coco, which is exactly what I'm hoping it will do. So... yeah - is it any good? :)

I HATE Supergrass. That is all.

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Sunday, 1 September 2002 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah. Got it! Shock! Don't like it very much. It had better grow on me or I will sulk and mope for the rest of the year. "Brecon Beacons" is good. So is "Seen The Light". Rest is a bit "meh".

I still don't get what everyone sees in their last album. It is extremely well produced but has got absolutely ZERO memorable tunes.

I think _Life_On_Other_Planets_ is fantastic~! Prophet 15 is one of the best songs they've ever recorded. Grace probably wasn't a wise choice as first single though.

>>absolutely ZERO memorable tunes.

Moving isn't memorable? It's their most memorable song to date (besides Alright perhaps.

"Grace" is a bit of a letdown. It just seems to look around the room for a bit, never deciding on a place to sit. Then it's over. I'll still have to check out the rest of the album.
