Nah, none fall into that category. There's a few I couldn't imagine going out of my way to listen to: Radiohead, St Etienne, Kate Bush, tho I can understand their appeal

ongoing Radiohead obsession is kind of weird to me cos altho i like some of what they've done and some of what they do i can't help but feel like they've been chugging thru the same shtick since Kid A.

always a bit baffled when people hotly anticipate new stuff from bands that are clearly kinda done.

If "a new thread once a week" is your criterion, then most of your list don't qualify. What about Oasis/Gallagher Bros. side projects (hi, Mark G!), Will the Old Ham, bloody boring Autechre etc etc...?

Oasis defnitely nearly made it, Oldham has a smaller hardcore than these i think but kudos on the hilarious pun, nobody likes Autechre we were just winding up Whiney.

The realisation that Radiohead "are clearly kinda done" has only set in after King Of Limbs tbh.. Before that it felt as if they were going somewhere, but building up to it very slowly.

imo no artist that hasn't been around since at least the '90s shouldn't be in this discussion, which is the main reason (among others) that Animal Collective is such an obvious choice in this poll.

If not for Animal Collective, I would have voted for The Fall, technically accurate but a bit unfair because I don't think I've ever actually heard their music before.

I am shocked and appalled by all the disinterest and lacklustre feelings towards St Etienne in this thread.

The only one among these I really care about is the Wu-Tang Clan. K. Bush and New Order have some great songs too, but I've never really been "into" them. Some of these are totally unknown to me: I've never heard any song by My Bloody Valentine, St. Etienne, or Animal Collective. So I gotta for The Fall: I've only heard two or three songs by them, by they seem to exemplify the utter lack of any musical skills that was one of the worst aspects of punk. In some other thread someone said to me that their point is really the lyrics, but who cares about lyrics if their delivered by the worst vocalist I've ever heard?
