i would go w/rev's ranking, "sade" is now certainly neck-and-neck with "ass on the floor" and has probably slightly overtaken it

Yeah, the gap between the first two is much narrower than between them and "No Ordinary Love", which is still great in its own right, but not quite godlike.

"ass on the floor" is probably the outright best song, but i'm voting for "no ordinary love" for its innovation

the interpolation of "No Ordinary Love" in the track of the same name suits her voice so well.

how is it any more innovative than the other two? unless you mean the three-songs-in-one thing, but that's no more innovative than any given medley.

Less innovation than craft IMO - the various sections and the beat all sound made for one another, "medley" sells it short I think.

man you gotta be careful dropping 'ass on the floor' as a dj!! that shit is intimate & operates like deep house or something. its def not a floor filler. needs to be finessed 4 sure

also i dont have vinyl of it (would kill for this to exist!! does it??) but i imagine it would need some EQ work to hit a dancefloor 'right'

sorry if this is mad ignorant but -- my version of sade from the mixtape is much slower than the youtube one. what is the deal with that? i like the tempo of the youtube one much better
