F**ked up 2-step.... where?

What happened to f**ked up 2-step. I'm just not finding it, do I not have the radio tuned right, (perhaps it's not on loud enough), am I 'losing my edge' or isn't it out there?
I'd imagined it would have been a viable escape route for bored IDM artists. Ambrose brought this up on ILE last year after DJ Maximus and Something J was released (which never made sense for me until it was played to a hungry crowd in a club), and I just wondered if there'd been any progress since then. There are a few novelty artists (Hairy Butter) but I've yet to hear something that demands my attention.

whats fucked up about that Romeo track? sounds like pretty regular, average 2step/timbatunes/r n'b hybrid to me

surprised that his mate Harvey only came in at 26 this week...is his solo career over already?

If yer looking for quality f**ked up IDM garage, try tracking down Ovuca's "Hit The Gas"... off the "Output64" comp, where various IDM/electroclash/microhouse types remixed old C64 tunes.

"Hit The Gas" is what one might call drill'n'garage, but just sooo much better than Sqaurepusher's attempts at the same - it's perhaps the only IDM garage track I've heard so far which manages to REALLY emulate those sleek, sexy, luscious&bubbly shuffled-up beats (and delightfully gritty too, coz they're constructed of bits n pieces of the vintage Turbo Outrun theme).

Unfortunately, after three and a half minutes it unwelcomely veers off into idylltronica ambience, but still... those first three and a half minutes... wow!
