Really feeling these dudes. Dug the Find Out What Happens When People Stop Being Polite... LP and thinking about splurging on the One Nation LP. Anyone heard it?

Also, one of the crazier Fact mixes.

I think I fell for the 'Hype' with 'Find Out..'. It's fun stuff, kind of the route I felt Actress should have been going but it feels a bit insubstantial. I would be interested in hearing what they are like live, they played Plastic People (London) date in March I think.

Bands You could never allow yourself to like, given their (to your ears) indefensibly stupid name.

My buddy brought One Nation by my radio show and it is really really good. If you like What Happens...you'll love One Nation. I need to get myself a copy.

It was from January 2011 so the link is down now (they take 'em down after three months I think) but I found it pretty easily on slsk

The Dior E.P. mix was pretty good. I wasn't too keen on the FACT mix, Burzum and Buju Banton? A bit try-hard. Their Hyperdub thing should be out soon.

Hype Williams might be the first random celebrity an indie band thought it'd be funny to name themselves after that's young and connected to the music industry enough that he might actually try to sue them or at least cut that shit out, which i kinda think would be cool and might discourage future shitty lol pop culture band names.

LOL im loving the hate these guys get on these things.joke is they do it on purpose to filter out certain types of people.everyone foolishly falls into it..they actually seem pretty smart and switched on from when we met in ny.theres rather large disdain for the music scene they seem to have.i dont think they want to be liked by the likes of us at all.by the looks of it ,thats been achieved.

Wow, One Nation is great. Like Salem without the baggage. Also reminds me of The Ah Club, a band no one but me probably remembers.

wish i could find some videos of their live performance. what i remember the pattern being : they were presenting some trippy loopy drone sound that made me think meh then it morphed into innovative electro pop and i was always caught offguard (maybe i was 2 high), then it got close to noise at times then the pattern started again. feels like i messed up; i was over stimulated so i possibly missed out on some great pop.

The Redeemer is really beautiful in parts. So addictive.

Fully on board with The Redeemer. I hear Count Bass D and Graham Lambkin in it. Very odd record.

The surprise album with the Russian/Cyrillic track titles, Stone Island, is really good! Anyone who liked The Redeemer should give it a shot, since it's playing with a lot of the same ideas, samples, sounds, etc.
