Gaskin: No Way Out (NWOBHM lost classic?)

Has anyone heard the band GASKIN, allegedly in the "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" genre? I found their record No Way Out (1982) at a shop last year and I love it. They're apparently from a town called SCUNTHORPE, a name that's almost comically evocative of a post-Industrial desolate English North that I've never actually visited. This is a little first-Def-Leppard-record-ish (well, okay, a lot), but less flashy and rougher... Workmanlike and really fun. I love how, whether it's postpunk or NWOBHM or whatever, music from the North of England made in this era all just bleeds grey, grey, grey. I sell obscure French and Italian wine for a living, and the credo of my small company is "sense of place above all"... The sense of place permeating this stuff is staggering.

I'm looking at Scunthorpe on Google Maps. To be honest I was hoping for something more dystopic.

nah i think the iron works got closed down or drastically cut back, now it's just a grim little decaying town in the middle of nowhere
