He kind of reminds me of WC, not really stylistically, just something about their voices maybe. WC uses that same melody from the hook on Nut'N Nice on Clownin:

^^^lol just heard this album for the first time a few months ago. no idea how it escaped my radar at the time, when I was buying every single thing with Ice Cube's name on it (yes, even K-dee's "Ass, Gas or Cash" - which is way worse than this album incidentally)
