That's an opinion, whereas obv if I say one the-dream album is better than another it doesn't come down to one song. The fact that you disagree with both statements doesn't create a causal nexus.

idk "mama" never meant much to me until a couple years ago when i was homesick at the time and i suddenly decided to pay attention to the lyrics, and i just lost it

re 'falsetto', yeah i'm sure i did hate it; before i became inured to his foibles it appeared one of more risible efforts of what seemed then to be a preposterous (tho intriguing) chancer, and particularly so as a single before the album had come out. quite happy with it now however, albeit probably not as any sort of monolithic terry totem.
