i went with "around the way girl" because it's one of those singles that just gives me an aw-shit-it's-summertime boost whenever i hear it. even if it's january.

one's a later single from the already minor Phenomenon, and the last two are from the soundtracks of Bulworth and Deep Blue Sea. so you're only missing out on a really fun song about sharks.
