I have been listening to Radio 1 in my new car, cos it comes w/a working radio. I am sorry, but thee above has to be said. She is RUBBIDGE. Awful. I *much* prefer thee sugarbab3z rekkid that took a whole dozen people to write or thee cheezy trance epic w/the sub-ELP synthsiser lead line. pfff, even naffo old Romeo (ie thee kind ov guy u wanna get deep w/) is preferable to thee horror that is P!NX0R. Please, Ms Sara Cox, do not play her rekkid anymore!

(BTW, Kriz M0Yl3Z = the WORST DJ THAT EVER THERE WAS [true])

Oh dear. It pains me to say it (Mr Phay havin' such good taste normally an' all) but he is totally OFF the money this time - apart from the Moyles comment obv.

"Just Like A Pill" is a grebt choice for the third single, and as for the video: k-blimey! Apart from Eminem, Pink is the only person around at the moment who understands how to make a good promo video.

Are you saying "Don't Let Me Get Me" was a good video? It was a fucking Livejournal entry turned into a three minute video clip. That's commonly referred to as a "bad thing".

Romeo is very funny. Pink is not - I did like her but "Don't Let Me Get Me" was a total fan-killer.

Tom (Groke), Wednesday, 4 September 2002 08:04 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah! the new video is great!

I can't get into pink. She seems like the total hipster popstar at the moment and she's really not that good.

I usually say three good singles = get the record. However a friend has gotten the record and he says that it's rub.

I think P!nk should rock a bloodless coup of No Doubt.

What I really don't like about "Just Like a Pill" is that she repeats the prechorus too many damn times and it's really not that entertaining/funny beyond the first time. Not that entertaining/funny to begin with, IMHO.

Jody Beth Rosen, Wednesday, 4 September 2002 11:35 (twenty-three years ago)

I've just heard it again and it's really not that good, is it? Part of the chorus ("I swear") reminds me uncomfortably of "I Had the Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing.

I have the feeling this is the kind of chorus she'll never do again - at least I hope so.

'just like a pill.' it's like a korn video or
something. i'm not sure. but the song sux bad.

dk, Wednesday, 4 September 2002 11:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Actually, "just like a pill" is not thee worst number I am hearing during the journey to work, it's just that they ALWAYS play it! The worst by a long way thing is that puddle of mudd number where they mute the "fukcing" on the chorus, but tghey don't play that so often, so it's not quite so irritating. The best specific thing I am hearing is either thee sugarbabes or the en-trance (yay for machine-gun snare fills & cavernous reverb) Sara Cox I think is very good, BTW. generally, I am liking ultra-generic anonymous epic trance better than anything else.

Dont Let Me Get Me is the worst thing evah put in film. EVAH. The song is ok though

>I did like her but "Don't Let Me Get Me" was a total fan-killer.

That Britney line: "She's so pretty/That just ain't me".

Yeah...*right*.

Pink's great. She equals punk, you know.

When I first heard Chris Moyles I thought he was a very poor parody of Chris Evans. I spent ages trying to think where they got the surname from, was it Celtic for Evans or something, before eventually grasping that he was, more or less, a real person.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 5 September 2002 17:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't get Pink at all. The most cringe worthy part of "Like a Pill" is when she hits the "And I swear..." part. It screams "You Oughta Know". But then I'm still dumbfounded by the "Get the Party Started" adoration...

bnw (bnw), Thursday, 5 September 2002 18:25 (twenty-three years ago)

it's about the harmony for me, bnw.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Thursday, 5 September 2002 18:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I heart Just Like A Pill, partly for having so many lines in its chorus that might be the title, but mainly because of the beepy teaspoon snare noise behind the chorus.
