I'm putting on a night where the theme is 'backwards'. Need some tunes to play between bands and I can only think of A couple of songs. Help me ilx!

tom d. mentioned chrome's "read only memory" a few days back, but lots of chrome songs include backwards passages or parts, often as bridges between sections. reversed drums in the 2nd half of "chromosome damage", the backwards voice that frames "slip it to the android", the extended "TV as eyes" outro, etc.

I went to my original vinyl copy of that album to check if that was the original mix of "Sand" and it is, so this is a good question. It should be noted that "I'm Only Sleeping" came out in the US on the Yesterday and Today album released in mid-June '66, so Nancy & Lee beat the Beatles by a matter of weeks.

So the Beatles didn't invent everything after all.
