The Proper Name Abstract Noun

wanna say there are approximately four billion rock bands with names that follow the Proper Name Abstract Noun format (e.g. The Jimi Hendrix Experience), but for some reason right now I can't think of a single one. many of these rock bands were 90s punk bands?

you know these; the proper name is usually a kitschy selection (Dennis Franz, Chris Sabo) and the abstract noun is typically something somewhat awkward and dry, like Predicament or Reappraisal.

there's probably already a thread on this.

The ones that come to mind:

John Cougar Concentration Camp
Brian Jonestown Massacre
Mr. T Experience

The Dave Matthews Band

I don't think that's what you were going for, but The Brian Jonestown Massacre was already taken.

Mr. T Experience is pretty much exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of. Or it can be a real guy's Abstract Noun, like Gil Mantera's Party Dream.

The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation

Mr. Patrick Batman (WmC), Monday, 20 June 2011 19:52 (fourteen years ago)

that's a good one, and especially pertinent since Aynsley's Retaliation was literally a retaliation against the rejection by Hendrix's Experience (which was maybe the original rock Abstract Noun band name, maybe?).
