The Family Cat weren't a Britpop band, they were a bit early for that, more of a shoegaze, West Country VU, Sonic Youth, jangle indie style band. They had a number of great songs such as Tom Verlaine and River Of Diamonds and did a collab with PJ Harvey. Certainly much better than all the Wonderstuff/ Carter shite they were contemporaneous with.

The inquest heard that Mr Shale was overweight and asthmatic.
Pathologist Basil Purdue said his weight put "an excessive workload" on his heart.
