I just read this yesterday: Glenn McDonald's review of the new Anna Waronker album. He doesn't talk about the record so much as use it as an excuse to compare Anna's original version of "I Wish You Well" with the Kay Hanley/Adam Schlesinger version that showed up on the Josie and the Pussycats soundtrack. I like Glenn's review because of how specific he gets in describing the differences between two seemingly similar versions of the same song -- and it's a pretty unmemorable song, so I think a lot of critics wouldn't even bother to look for any distinguishing characteristics in either version.

Thoughts? I tracked down mp3s of both songs to hear for myself, and his commentary is OTM.
