I like the Billie Holiday version best, as boring and obvious an answer as that is.

the Associates did a mean version too - I think it's on Sulk, certainly there are sessions of it.

but nothing eclipses the Billy version (Holiday that is, not Mrs Chris Evans ... now there's a thought)

While the Billie Holiday version is of course classic, somehow it's the Diamanda Galas version that really gets under my skin. Probably because I'm a morbid cynic with no taste.
