ha! saw them years ago when they had their washboard player (before he left, but i think he returned after a spell) and i kinda liked 'em mostly for the washboard.
i actually grew up with Sean and have been good friends with him since about 1978 when we were 11 or 12. he was the singer in our high school band, the Sciotics, ca. 1982. and before that he fronted the first punk band i know of in palm springs that was called mutual hatred.
saw him with Zander Schloss recently @ gamh (san francisco) and really dug their acoustic set (opened for Lanegan). Zander is a monster on 12-string.
not the *biggest* Throw Rag fan but i love Sean, he's a great egg

just watched that viddy... fun stuff and thx for posting!
nitpick: they say they're from Salton Sea area, not L.A., but i don't think any of those guys are from Salton Sea either so w/e. Sean still lives in p.s.
Sean was always one for influences. In high school we had a quirky kinda ska band. concurrently Sean got really into Yellowman and commenced to "toasting". after hs (when Bowie hit w/"china girl") we actually met/hung out with Iggy (for a week!) and by the time Zodiac Mindwarp came around our musical "thing" became "about" sleaze. kinda comforting to me to see where he went with it in a actual viddy

Cool, thanks for that, Marquis de Sade. Yeah, I saw him and Zander Schloss open for Lanegan too (LA show) and just fell in love with those guys. Their album "Walk Thee Invisible" is great, and that led me to Throw Rag.

I find this song to be particularly affecting. So is country/folk where old punks go to die?
