Avalon vs The Visitors

Why? I just associate these albums with each other. The last major statements by these '70s giants. Both are as much about the death of disco/seventies hedonism as any PiL record. Both considered returns to form. I think I'd go with The Visitors because some of the songs are actually among the best ever written.

Avalon i think hangs better as a piece, but The Visitors' individual songs are better 1 to 1.

So i haven't got a clue really.

Obv I wd rather be B. Ferry but I'm probly much closer to B. Anderson.

This might come down to "When All Is Said and Done" vs "More Than This"

Just slightly inclined to give that one to ABBA.

I have to say "One Of Us" has probably my favourite bassline in the world.

Avalon's filler is less filling, or Visitors has less filling, not sure.

Thing is, I only recently realised that my version of The Visitors is an extended reissue with "The Day Before You Came" and "Under Attack", which are really my favourite songs on there. Without them, I don't think I'd be as big a fan of that album.
