how do these kids do 80 million songs without getting any better at projecting their voices or syncing up with the beat. like how can you even do something that often without ever improving at it.

they just don't care. but it's whatever. soulja boy's hooks can't be stopped. and they both "sync up with the beat" plenty, i think, in their own weird ways (and sometimes more conventional ways)

like imo not every rapper needs to be lyrical but at least stay in the pocket of the beat if you're more about sounding dope than saying anything deep

i don't really get the backlash against him as a biter, musically you can say whatever you want, the vast majority of his music is shit. but that he's biting someone's identity? cmoing from peers who change their twitter handle three times a day, co-opt a new era of rap every week, make songs with the titles of celebrity names, it's just silly

"hit rate" only counts if you're looking at it as a competition. he puts out a bunch of dope songs and bunch of nonsense, if you feel like sifting thru it it's not that hard. a lot of rap is like that nowadays. there's a lot of stuff to enjoy.
