Roger Sanchez-Another Chance, Classic or Dud

Not a fan of Sanchez by any means but this track keeps hitting me whenever it's on the radio. At first listen it seems pretty generic radio house music I suppose. The first time it really fucking hit me was at the Brothers Bar at Glastonbury, the DJ played it. The key to the whole song, like the absolute moment in the whole thing is towards the end where the vocals drop out and sort of drippy piano comes in, then it seems to spiral off into oblivion as if it's about to end but it doesn't, right on time these two fucking perfect snares just explode one after another and it all kicks off again. It feels like the most perfect division between contemplation of and physical reaction to a piece of music. The vocal is still hanging around your mind and then the two snares just snap the whole dancefloor right out of it. Everyime I hear it I just have to react to those two drums, it's perfect. The rest of the song isn't particularly hot either but it's all worthwhile.

One. Two. Three. And. ROCK.

Classic

Classic of course. As you say, there's something very fresh about the structure of the track, it takes some unexpected turns that re-energize the dancefloor. Plus, I love the filtering on the main synthline! The video is really, really annoying though...
