mm broke suede, they made the manics, they discoveredoasis, they gave first front covers to all 3. likewiseradiohead and countless more. they always sold fewer thannme so they could risk take at their leisure. nme was a good6 months behind constantly, as anyone who read either will tellyou. nme was at it's peak in the baker/burchill era about 12-15 years before.
