I said "YOU FUCKING DIE", to her...
Huh? What?
No, no! I was talking to Kim! I said, "You fucking die."
No, I was just - we were just goofing around.
No. No, it didn't have anything to do with anything.

I like this all the better for the fact that you can't hear Albini's questions, which is reminiscent of the Peanuts animated series, in which the adults' voices are represented by muffled trombone noises.

Vast Halo, Saturday, 6 August 2011 12:40 (fourteen years ago)

haha it so is you're right! i always thought this was like.. faux banter though. is it real?

piscesx, Saturday, 6 August 2011 13:27 (fourteen years ago)

Per Wikipedia: The recording of a conversation held between Francis and Albini can be heard at the end of "Oh My Golly!". According to [studio assistant] Lupfer, "it was a concept he (Albini) was going for, to get some studio banter." As Deal was leaving the studio to smoke a cigarette, she exclaimed "If anybody touches my stuff, I'll kill ya." Francis replied with "I'll kill you, you fucking die, if anybody touches my stuff". The track begins at this point, with Francis explaining the conversation to Albini, whose voice is not heard on the track.
