This song is absolutely beautiful. I've been listening to it for years but only recently did I HEAR it, if you know what I mean. It just hits me right here (*puts fist to heart*)

I mean, they took such a powerful emotion and put it into a song perfectly. Surely this song is an example of true artistry. I myself as a musician can't even imagine being able to write a song this incredible. Blink-182 forever

I actually really like this song. There's something about the juxtaposition of the second guy's voice and the acoustic bass and the melody that I find really affecting. Even if he does garble this line.

for me there's something about the juxtaposition of the second guy's voice and the certainty of my eventual death that's appealing, for sure

A friend of mine actually posted the YT for this on her facebook utterly non-ironically the other day and I immediately lost it laughing. Kudos markers.

Is there a name for the US punk/emo/hardcore "voice" that so many of the singers in these bands affect? The "yed" thing here is a good example (along with "catching theengs and eating their insoides"), but whenever I hear bands like Blink or Sum 41, or even The Promise Ring etc it feels like their delivery is an (unwitting) homage to Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

it's tuff as pain to choose.
