In January 2010, it was revealed that former turntablist Gavin "DJ Lyfe" Koppell threatened current turntablist Chris Kilmore in a store on December 28, 2009. Chris Kilmore, who replaced Gavin Koppell in 1998 claimed that Koppell, "asked me to fight him right there and raised his fists to me."[7] As result of the incident, a judge has granted a new restraining order against Koppell. Kilmore also had a previous restraining order issued against Koppell in 2003 after Koppell allegedly spat in his face.[7]

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 01:44 (fourteen years ago)

well, only 13 of them have been top ten modern rock hits

some dude, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 01:46 (fourteen years ago)

i dont remember a single incubus song!

i'm like the anti-markers.

king of torts (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 01:47 (fourteen years ago)

yes, but they've had turntablist feuds.

turntablist feuds.

some dude, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 01:49 (fourteen years ago)

CLUB PISCOPO (DJP), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:07 (fourteen years ago)

stellar :/

errant flynn, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:07 (fourteen years ago)

The "woo" in the beginning of "Wish You Were Here" is the best thing they've ever done.

billstevejim, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:08 (fourteen years ago)

voted 4 drive btw -- don't know if it's the best single out of the singles of theirs i've heard, but i wanted 2 vote 4 it

markers, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:08 (fourteen years ago)

Actually S.C.I.E.N.C.E. was pretty good.

billstevejim, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:09 (fourteen years ago)

man if i got bumped out of the only living wage gig for a nu-metal turntablist, i'd be pissed at the other guy too

this is true

i only heard "A Certain Shade of Green" for the first time recently and was surprised how much i like goofy early Incubus!

some dude, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:12 (fourteen years ago)

lol i can still hum the riff to that song

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:37 (fourteen years ago)

incubus was my favorite band for a short while. i recently found a report i did on them for 7th grade music class. fascinating stuff

Peepee Soaked Heckhole (zachlyon), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:45 (fourteen years ago)

lol awesome

some dude, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:45 (fourteen years ago)

"New Skin" easily. wasn't really into them on the albums after S.C.I.E.N.C.E. but that album is good (if completely derivative) funk rock, and that song does a nice Mike Patton impersonation.

shining like national dog shit (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 03:19 (fourteen years ago)

New Skin is a decent tune, yeah. At their best they were FNM's likable but slightly retarded cousin.

Inevitable stupid samba mix (chap), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 05:38 (fourteen years ago)

HOW DO YOU DOOOEH EEEEEEEEEEHHHHHTT

turntablist feuds > any other instrumentalist feuds

How was 'I Miss You' not a single? It was featured on every girlfriend/boyfriend playlist/mixtape ever from 1999-2000. I think Ive heard more college toolbag "Hi ladies I play acoustic guitar wanna hear a sweet ass jam" versions of that song more than any other song.

I like(d) a lot of the album cuts on Make Yourself and Morning View. Not sure which single to pick yet, need to hear the later ones to compare.

Incubus snare sound has always been top notch too, ie Nice to Know You, Are You In?

streetball technician in the flesh (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 06:47 (fourteen years ago)

god, this band is so fucking dumb

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 August 2011 06:56 (fourteen years ago)

"megalomaniac" is kinda my shit tho

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 August 2011 06:56 (fourteen years ago)

"Megalomaniac" always sounded very tryhard to me, "Anna-Molly" is a much better 'hey we don't just do ballads' lead single

some dude, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 10:47 (fourteen years ago)

probably voting "anna molly" even though title is ultimate smh stuff

light grenades is completely solid minus "love hurts"

mutant slow drum (BradNelson), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

oh wait, "are you in?" was a single

smooth jammmms

mutant slow drum (BradNelson), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

Wish You Were Here is my favorite song named that.

kkvgz, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 13:22 (fourteen years ago)

voted anna-molly w/o thinking

standards r. poor (Drugs A. Money), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 13:56 (fourteen years ago)

I lost track of them after Morning View.

It seems the songs I liked the most by them were never released as singles. Summer Romance, I Miss You, Mexico and Aqueous Transmission.

From the singles right now the ones I remember the most are 'Stellar' which has a nice pseudo-psychedelic vibe in the guitars and 'Are You In?' kind of reminds me of Jamiroquai in a good way. I'm voting the later.

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 18 September 2011 23:39 (fourteen years ago)

if he hadn't referenced a song title i would've assumed he was a fan of incubus the demon that rapes women in their sleep instead of incubus the band

run jaymc & jam-master jaymc (some dude), Sunday, 18 September 2011 23:48 (fourteen years ago)

( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Thursday, 14 February 2019 20:50 (six years ago)

i LOVE are you in?

marcos smart (Spottie), Thursday, 14 February 2019 20:55 (six years ago)

'Nice to Know You'

I tried to relisten to S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Make Yourself and Morning View a few months ago and reached the conclusion that this music has mostly aged horribly.

Le Baton Rose (Turrican), Friday, 15 February 2019 02:42 (six years ago)

"pardon me" deserved more than 1 vote but then again the max any song got was 4 so
