incubus was my favorite band for a short while. i recently found a report i did on them for 7th grade music class. fascinating stuff

"New Skin" easily. wasn't really into them on the albums after S.C.I.E.N.C.E. but that album is good (if completely derivative) funk rock, and that song does a nice Mike Patton impersonation.

New Skin is a decent tune, yeah. At their best they were FNM's likable but slightly retarded cousin.

How was 'I Miss You' not a single? It was featured on every girlfriend/boyfriend playlist/mixtape ever from 1999-2000. I think Ive heard more college toolbag "Hi ladies I play acoustic guitar wanna hear a sweet ass jam" versions of that song more than any other song.

I like(d) a lot of the album cuts on Make Yourself and Morning View. Not sure which single to pick yet, need to hear the later ones to compare.

Incubus snare sound has always been top notch too, ie Nice to Know You, Are You In?

I lost track of them after Morning View.

It seems the songs I liked the most by them were never released as singles. Summer Romance, I Miss You, Mexico and Aqueous Transmission.

From the singles right now the ones I remember the most are 'Stellar' which has a nice pseudo-psychedelic vibe in the guitars and 'Are You In?' kind of reminds me of Jamiroquai in a good way. I'm voting the later.

I tried to relisten to S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Make Yourself and Morning View a few months ago and reached the conclusion that this music has mostly aged horribly.

"pardon me" deserved more than 1 vote but then again the max any song got was 4 so
